About the event
Kambo is a traditional medicine from the Amazon rainforest, where it has long been used in ceremony as a way to clear what Indigenous cultures call panema—a state of heaviness, stagnation, or disconnection from vitality, clarity, and life force.
At the centre of its effects are bioactive peptides—short chains of amino acids that act as powerful signalling molecules in the body. These peptides are being studied for their potential roles in supporting processes such as inflammation regulation, immune signalling, and cellular repair pathways.
In Indigenous understanding, Kambo is not about “curing” anything, but about clearing what is blocked so a person can return to balance—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
